THE ART OF VERIFIABLE TRUSTINTERACTIVE RESEARCH / 001

Less trust.
More proof.

Nothing hidden. Everything verifiable.
Build a record. Alter it. Discover what stays true.

2. Save it in a block

A block is a saved page of transactions. Each new page is linked to the one before it.

Confirms prepared transfers.
Alice earns 10 practice coins.

02 / The integrity test

Change the past.
Leave a trace.

Every saved block has a unique digital fingerprint. Edit a note below, then check the record. The fingerprint will no longer match.

You can undo the edit whenever you want.

Change a note, then check whether the record still matches its fingerprint.

A record that
remembers.

Transactions are grouped into blocks. Each block contains a fingerprint of its own contents and a link to the previous block. This makes changes detectable when you check against the saved fingerprints.

A real blockchain also has many computers agreeing on the record. This experiment runs only in your browser, so it demonstrates the idea without running a live network.

Before you begin.

Am I spending real money?

No. All coins here are practice units. They cannot be bought, sold or withdrawn.

What does “create a block” actually do?

Your browser calculates a SHA-256 fingerprint that starts with two zeroes. This is a small proof-of-work exercise, often called mining. It saves your prepared transfers and adds 10 practice coins to Alice’s account.

Will my progress be saved?

Yes, in this browser when local storage is available. Clearing browser data or switching devices starts a different experiment. You can download your current record above.

Can I start over?

Resetting removes your local experiment and gives Alice 100 practice coins again.
